Written for humans. These terms are intentionally short and clear. We've avoided legal jargon wherever possible. If something isn't clear, email us at team@projectsummit.app and we'll explain it plainly.

01 What Summit is

Project Summit ("Summit", "the App", "we", "us") is an adaptive cycling training platform for iOS developed by Jordi Espanyol, an independent developer based in Spain.

Summit connects your training data, health metrics, and nutrition to generate personalised cycling training plans that adapt in real time to your body and your life.

By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Summit.

02 Your account

To use Summit you need to create an account with a valid email address. You must:

  • Be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU)
  • Provide accurate information when creating your account
  • Keep your login credentials secure
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access

You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account. One account per person — sharing accounts is not permitted.

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without notice in serious cases.

03 Subscription & billing

Summit offers a Free tier and Summit Premium, which includes Pro and Elite subscription plans. Pricing and features for each tier are shown in the App and on our website.

Billing. Summit Premium subscriptions (Pro and Elite) are billed monthly or annually through Apple's App Store. Apple handles all payment processing — we never see your card details.

Cancellation. You can cancel anytime from your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We don't offer refunds for partial periods, but Apple's standard refund policy applies.

Changes to pricing. If we change Summit Premium pricing, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice. Your subscription continues at the original price until your renewal date.

04 What you can & can't do

You can:

  • Use Summit for your personal training — this is exactly what it's for
  • Connect your Strava, Apple Health, intervals.icu, Hammerhead Karoo, and other supported accounts
  • Export your data at any time
  • Share screenshots and content from the App on social media

You can't:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
  • Use Summit to develop a competing product
  • Scrape or harvest data from the platform
  • Use automated tools to access or overload our servers
  • Share your account with others or resell access
  • Use the App for anything illegal or harmful

05 Health disclaimer

Important. Summit is a training tool, not a medical device. The information it provides — including training load recommendations, recovery scores, and nutrition targets — is based on sports science models and your personal data. It is not medical advice.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new training programme, especially if you have existing health conditions, injuries, or concerns.

Summit's training recommendations are designed for healthy adults engaged in recreational cycling. They are not intended for people with serious cardiovascular conditions, eating disorders, or other conditions where intense exercise may be contraindicated.

If you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or any other concerning symptoms during training, stop immediately and seek medical attention.

By using Summit, you acknowledge that you train at your own risk and that we are not liable for any injury or health outcome arising from your use of the App.

06 Your data & privacy

Your data belongs to you. We use it to make Summit work better for you — nothing else.

We don't sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except where necessary to provide the service (see §07). Health data from Apple HealthKit is treated with particular care and is never shared externally.

Our Privacy Policy explains in full what we collect, how we use it, and your rights. It's written in the same plain language as these Terms.

Data deletion. You can delete your account at any time from within the App. We'll remove your personal data within 30 days.

07 Third-party integrations

Summit connects to Strava, Apple HealthKit, intervals.icu, Hammerhead Karoo, and other platforms. By connecting these accounts or devices, you authorise Summit to read (and in some cases write) data from those services on your behalf.

Each integration operates under its own terms of service and privacy policy. Summit is not responsible for the data practices, availability, or terms of third-party services.

You can disconnect any integration at any time from the App's settings.

Strava note. Summit uses Strava's official API and complies with Strava's API agreement. We only request the permissions necessary to import your activity data.

08 Intellectual property

Summit — including the App, its design, code, training algorithms, and content — is owned by Jordi Espanyol and protected by intellectual property law.

Your training data and personal information belong to you. Summit's proprietary models, calculations, and software belong to us.

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the App for your own training purposes. This licence ends if you violate these Terms or delete your account.

09 Limitation of liability

Summit is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it reliable, accurate, and useful — but we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every training recommendation will be perfect for every person.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jordi Espanyol and Project Summit are not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App
  • Loss of data due to technical failures (though we back up your data regularly)
  • Injury or health consequences resulting from following training or nutrition recommendations
  • Temporary unavailability of the App or any connected service

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Summit will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain liability exclusions. In those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by local law.

10 Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as Summit grows and evolves. We'll notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before they take effect.

If you continue using Summit after the effective date, you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree with the changes, you can delete your account before the effective date.

Minor changes (like fixing typos or clarifying language without changing meaning) may be made without notice.
